12 Degrees Italian Ice started with one simple idea: make something genuinely delicious from scratch, right here in Maineville. Three families later, that's still exactly what we do.
The beginning
The Spencer family opened 12 Degrees in 2014 on Grandin Road in Maineville, Ohio — a neighborhood shop built around small-batch Italian ice and a genuine love of the community. From day one, everything was made in-house, with no shortcuts.
Three families, one shop
In 2019, the Urlage family took the reins and kept the craft alive. In 2025, the McMillian family became the latest stewards — same small-batch commitment, same Maineville home.
What we make
Italian ice is our signature, and the menu goes well beyond it: gelati, Dole soft serve, floats, flights, swirls, and more. The variety keeps people coming back.
